Welcome to Wessex Winter Caravanners

We are called Wessex Winter Caravanners but in fact caravan all the year round !

WWC is a small friendly club so it is easy to get to know one another.  We have a limit of 25 members and our usual rally attendance is 12-15 outfits.

So what do aspiring members need to join WWC ?

To start with: a good heating system, a robust sense of humour and a love of the countryside – the rest follows ! 

We hold a Natural England Certificate of Exemption and are members of the Association of Caravanning and Camping Exempted Organisations (ACCEO) through whom we have our public liability insurance. 

WWC have been rallying since 1973.  The original aim was to be winter caravanners who banded together in order to persuade farmers and other site owners to open for us out of season.  But after the first couple of years we found we got on well enough to rally all the year round – but we kept the name because we had already registered it and made the signs ! 

We hold rallies around the last complete weekend of every month.  Our venues are generally within a 50 mile radius of Winchester unless there is a convenient Bank Holiday when we take advantage of the longer break to go slightly further afield.  Currently our members come from Hampshire, Wiltshire, Berkshire and West Sussex.

Many of our rallies are held on simple sites without mains electric although we often use commercial sites during the winter months.

Our rally weekends are very relaxed.  You don't have to join in anything if you don't want to and rarely is anything more organised than an impromptu barbecue or maybe someone collects a group take-away meal or we all descend on a convenient pub.
